Learn more about the different types of wood

With its slender and elongated shape, the small bar naturally follows the movement of the hoop. I particularly enjoy working with simple shapes because the choice of wood is enough to transform the piece of jewelry.

I craft these small pieces from wood scraps sourced from artisans in the Bordeaux region. They are then mounted on hypoallergenic gold-plated stainless steel hoops.

Even on this narrow shape, the wood grain remains different from one piece to another. Each pair therefore possesses its own unique lines and natural nuances.

  • The wood is protected by a satin varnish.
  • Sold as a pair.
  • Available in the following wood species: amaranth, rosewood, olive, walnut, cherry, rosewood sapwood*, and violet wood sapwood*.

Sapwood*: natural whitish part found just after the bark. I selected this part of the wood for its two-tone appearance.

Traceability

- Amaranth, rosewood, olive, and wild cherry: scraps collected from an antique furniture restorer | Bordeaux, Chartrons district.
- Walnut wood: scraps collected from a sculptor | Bassens, Gironde.
- Some species may also come from scraps collected from luthiers in the Bordeaux region.

Stainless steel hoops certified to European standards.

Maintenance

Wood prefers to stay dry. Brief contact with water is not serious: the satin varnish protects it.

Stainless steel is water-resistant and does not tarnish.

After several years, you can entrust your jewelry to me so that I can restore its shine by sanding it again.

Delivery, packaging, and returns

Delivery

Each order is carefully prepared in my workshop and shipped within 48 hours.

  • Tracked Letter – La Poste
    Delivery throughout France starting from €3.50 for up to 100g (approximately 2 pieces of jewelry). Beyond that, the price adjusts to the weight of your order.
    Expect generally 2 to 4 business days after dispatch. A tracking number allows you to follow your shipment.
  • Pickup Point – Mondial Relay
    Pickup point delivery available from €4.10.
  • Free pickup at the workshop – Pessac
    You can collect your order for free at the workshop. I will contact you as soon as it is ready to arrange pickup.
    This option is unavailable from mid-November to mid-February.

Returns & exchanges

You have 14 days after receiving your order to request a return or exchange.

Depending on your choice, your creation can be exchanged, credited, or refunded via the payment method used for your order. Return shipping costs are at your expense.

Packaging

Each creation is carefully packaged and protected for transport. Jewelry is presented in a reusable kraft cardboard box; other items are packaged appropriately for their size.

For jewelry, you can choose to replace the kraft cardboard box with lighter packaging, consisting of tissue paper and a small reusable cotton pouch. Simply specify this in the "Special instructions for the order" section.

Is your order a gift? I can also add a small note free of charge for the recipient. Simply write your message in the same section when placing your order.
